Early in the morning: The house gnome reminds you what to do when you're out (by secretly slipping a reminder into your bag)
The Goodnight Gnome watches over your sleep; sometimes he asks the Little Owl to be quiet for a bit while you're just falling asleep!
"Wichtel" is a German word for a small, generally benevolent (sometimes a little mischievous) elfin creature, often translated, perhaps incorrectly, as Gnome in other languages. It's similar in concept to the English Brownie and the Scandinavian Tomte, and was also explored by the Brothers Grimm (it appears in more than one of their fairy tales).
I'm so grateful to Anika Meyer for the opportunity to illustrate such a fairytale-like subject. She and the entire team at Sonah Verlag did a fantastic job publishing the Notebook-Diaries (dedicated to reminders for the home, evening thoughts, and household and garden chores), and the graphics they created are simply FANTASTIC!
The beautiful covers of the Notebooks
The series also includes the beautiful floral notebook-planner, the floral tote bag (fantastic, the print is beautiful and vibrant!), and the postcards!
You can find everything on Sonah's website!
I highly recommend not missing them because they're wonderful!
